Artists Statement 2020

Kassandra Bossell is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist, working across various modes of sculpture and installation. Her work unpacks notions of nature and the human role within it, exploring ideas of transformation, interdependent connectivity and collaborative systems.

Working with a diverse range of materials, Bossell draws on philosophy and science to offer new perspectives on inter-species relationships, reflected in fictional forms that float between the familiar and the uncanny. Her work is at once highly personal, intimate and enmeshed in wider discourses of global warming.
