In the words of Joni Mitchell,
Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

My adoration of trees and all their ‘talents’ has inspired my artwork for decades. I hope to show that trees have a lot to ‘say’ about themselves. I hope by representing them in an adoring way others may feel the same. Trees are the victims, they have suffered for the sake of parking lots, houses, dams, roads, and the list goes on. Let’s just hope the rest of Joni Mitchell’s lyrics don’t occur.

They took all the trees
Put ’em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see ’em
