Workshop Description
A seed is often regarded as a metaphor for the beginning and end, for life and death, for nothing and everything. A seed though small can grow into a living tree, that reaches high into the sky. It is a symbol of transformation and renewal, that is the every-moment activity of life… forever changing and adapting to the environment.
The found pods from such Australian trees as the Eucalypt tree, Banksias, Moreton Bay Figs are collected and dried and prepared for colourful felted seeds. It is a celebration. By utilising natural vegetation and fruits, the alpaca fleece produces subtle colours. A lovely workshop suited to any time of the year.
