Research Interests
I am particularly interested in research that combines disciplines to investigate species and population dynamics on a landscape level and to explore impacts of historical and current processes shaping distributions and assemblages of plants, (e.g. phylogenetics, phylogeography, population genetics, environmental modelling, bioinformatics, and morphology). I also enjoy developing and applying novel technical approaches to the study of evolutionary ecology of the Australian flora.
Current Projects
Temperate Highland Swamps on Sandstone; Biodiversity and Adaptation Transect Sydney (BATS); evolutionary ecology studies of the Australian rainforests; Restore and Renew (R&R).
Each explores the interaction between environment and genetic diversity, and combines molecular, environmental and morphological approaches for landscape-level studies.
