Artist Statement 2025
Brooke Thompson is deeply inspired by wild spaces. Seeking ways to communicate the urgent need to act, to turn up for the existential crisis of our lifetime. A liveable planet. Brooke returns to the ancient forests of Takayna to explore the self in a process of integration with the forest. Creates in clay, print, performance and photography.

Artist Biography
Studied Fine Arts Hons at National Art School and Masters Printmaking College of Fine Arts. Exhibited in group and solo exhibitions for a decade or so then in 2019 shifted energy activism and artivism. In recent years Brooke has been working more in socially engaged art. Highlights in recent years has been selection for the Northern Beaches Environmental Art Prizes and participating in Art for Takayna.
